Balaton’s has been serving Clevelanders and tourists coming to Cleveland since 1964. It is most famous for its superb Wiener Schnitzel and a variance of that, the Chicken Schnitzel. Balaton also offers wine from the gentle hills of the Lake Balaton region, as well as the heartier wines from the Northern regions of Hungary.

Deweys Fair Trade Coffee features a fine line of freshly roasted coffees from Cleveland’s finest coffee roaster, Phoenix Coffee. In the tradition of a fine European coffee house, the shop is appointed with a warm interior complete with a coffee bar, plenty of window seats and a cozy fireplace. The coffee house also offers a private meeting room and is fully Wi-Fi’d. The kitchen creates fresh baked specialties from scratch, as well as a full menu of coffee house delicacies, such as elegant light snacks, sandwiches, wraps, soups and salads. Deweys is located next to the Popcorn Shop Factory and shares the same hours and doorway.

Grotto’s Italian menu and International wine list has something for everyone. Guests can enjoy a variety of amazing wines and small plates called “piccoli piatti” dishes at very reasonable prices. We feature simply, wine we love with the food we love.

Whether you start your night or end your night at Grotto, once you get there, you won’t want to leave. The decor and ambiance really set this wine bar apart. Portions of the space look like they were carved out of a Roman aqueduct. The focal point of Grotto has to be the 1000 bottle wine cellar that is encased in stone and brick and acts as the back drop for the bar and dining areas.

Grotto is operated by Salerno Restaurant Group. The group was created by chef/owner Fabio Salerno and father Ricardo Salerno in 2003. Partners now include James Fink and William Salerno. It is truly a family operation. The team also owns Lago in Tremont and Gusto in Little Italy.

One of the major elements in Japanese art isSASA (bamboo). SASA is the newest addition to the award-winning restaurant palette of Shaker Square. The menu at SASA reflects Chef Scott Kim's mastery of Japanese cooking and other Asian cuisines. This new restaurant features izakaya (Japanese style tapas), Asian bistro food. and a wheat beer infused with green tea exclusively designed for SASA by the Willoughby Brewing Company.

An extensive 24-seat bar adjoins an intimate dining area. There is a cozy fireplace lounge, with additional booth seating, and a private dining room. In 1965, Fred DeLuca and Dr. Peter Buck teamed up to open their first submarine sandwich shop in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  Today, there are 28,016 restaurants in 87 countries, including one that recently opened at Shaker Square.  Subway restaurants offer a delicious variety of foot long and 6 inch sandwiches, salads and wraps that are made with a wide assortment of meats, cheeses, vegetables and toppings.

In 1981, the first Yours Truly Restaurant was opened in Beachwood, Ohio. Today, there are seven Yours Truly Restaurants located in Ohio, including Shaker Square’s location. Originally the home of the former Standard Drug Store, the Shaker Square Yours Truly Restaurant was designed to compliment the area and to capitalize on the original architecture. The Shaker Square location is non-smoking and Wi-Fi’d.
